Board of Review

The Village of Pewaukee Board of Review is a quasi-judicial (court-like) body with duties & powers defined by Wis. Stats. Sec. 70.46 & 70.48 as follows:

  • Adjust assessments when they are proven incorrect by sworn oral testimony
  • Correct any errors or omissions in the descriptions or computations found on the assessment roll
  • Check the assessment roll for omitted property and double assessments
  • It is recommended that members attend a 2-hour training every other year

The Board of Review meets annually at any time during the 30-day period beginning the 2nd Monday of May and may be adjourned from time to time. The Board of Review meets at Village Hall.

Board members hold 3 year terms and are appointed by the Village Board. The Commission is composed of the Village President, the Village Clerk, 3 Citizen Members, and 2 Alternate Citizen Members.
