Public Works Department

The Public Works Department garage is located at 1000 Hickory Street. 

The department is made up of 12 DPW and utility employees. 
DPW employees are responsible for maintaining Village assets and property maintenance including streets, storm sewer, urban forestry and fall leaf collection, the recycling center, lake level and dam operations, managing invasive lake weeds, winter plowing and de-icing operations, and operating and maintaining the cemetery.

The Utility employees are responsible for the maintenance of 35 miles of water distribution system, five municipal wells, five water reservoirs, the waste water collection system including five sanitary sewer lift stations, and Village operated street lighting.

In addition the Director ensures many regulatory requirements for various State and Federal agencies are being met for streets, water and sanitary systems, storm sewers, conducts Capital Improvement planning, budgeting, and manages Village construction projects.
